The Khazd Destroyer was one of the first of the new generation of Zirakthargm vessels. Its primary roles are to provide a more mobile attack group, supplemented by Zgorn corvettes, or to support larger vessels like the older Thorin Dreadnoughts. With a good turn of speed, excellent shielding and armour, the Khazd’s numerous plasma batteries cover a much wider arc than the older broadsides on the older and larger dreadnoughts, allowing the Khazd to cover the dreadnoughts blind spots in this latter role.
