Description

  • The majority of 4.2-litre Series 1 Jaguar XJ6s produced were fitted with an automatic gearbox, but the example modelled utilizes the rarer manual overdrive (MOD) gearbox and came off Jaguar’s assembly line at Browns Lane, Coventry, on May 17th, 1972. The first listed owner was Jaguar’s Personal Export Division.
  • The Corgi brand was created by the Mettoy Company of Northampton which first started to produce colourful, pressed metal toys in the 1930s. The name Corgi (after the Welsh dog) was chosen for three reasons: first, because it was short and catchy; secondly because the models were to be produced in Swansea and thirdly because of its strong association with the Royal Family. Although top prices grab the headlines, diecast scale model collecting is an easy hobby to start and many vehicles, both old and new, can be acquired for a few pounds.
  • Without packaging this model measures 11cm in length, 4cm wide and 3.4cm in height.
  • 1x 1:43 scale model of the Jaguar XJ6 Series 1 in the colour warwick grey.
  • A range of 1:43 scale model cars that span the decades, each car has been meticulously researched to bring the most accurate replicas including the backstory, livery and special features.
