The Goulonat Defence Cruiser is a solid escort cruiser and one of the newer designs in the fleet. It has stronger shields and higher manoeuvrability than is typical for a cruiser of its class, which makes it less vulnerable to being targeted.
It boasts a powerful ECM array and no less than ten particle-beam arrays, giving it a combined rating of a staggering 960 on the Xyriats scale. However, it only mounts eight particle beam turrets as secondary weapons and has no spinal-mount weapon.
